Workshops: Child-Parent Workshop

This four week workshop is for parents and their school-aged children (5-17). It consists of five groups: children meet in their own age-appropriate groups to discuss their feelings around divorce and separation, parents meet simultaneously in two separate groups.

Parents will receive access to The Kids’ Turn Way, Online and the Kids’ Turn Discussion Board for no charge at the conclusion of the workshops.

This session requires at least one parent to register, although both parents are encouraged to attend. Each parent must submit their tuition fee and registration separately. Learn more IMPORTANT! After  payment, you must click on the registration link to complete registration.

  1. A fee is charged for each parent based on his/her annual household income.
  2. Payment must accompany registration to reserve workshop space.  Because your payment holds your slot in the workshop, all workshop payments are NONREFUNDABLE.   If the circumstances in your family change, or on the rare occasion a workshop has to be rescheduled, we will gladly transfer your payment to a different workshop.
  3. Income assessed separately per parent’s household and is based on pre-tax income. If you are receiving spousal support and/or child support, this is included in your pre-tax income.  If you are paying spousal support and/or child support, this is deducted from your pre-tax income.
  4. Each parent is required to provide a statement of income i.e., tax return, court documents, pay stubs. These documents will be submitted to Kids' Turn via email, fax, or US mail.
  5. Participants completing payment two weeks prior to the workshop start date  receive a 10% discount on fees marked with an ( * ). **Parents are responsible for deducting the 10% fee reduction when they pay; refunds are not given for overpayment.**
  6. Optional payment plan available for fees marked with an ( * ). Two credit card payments must be processed before workshop start date.

Program Participation Consent Form

I the parent of minor child(ren), hereby consent for myself and my child(ren) to participate in Kids' Turn, a program conducted at the designated site. The purpose of the program is to offer education and support to help children and parents in the process of family reorganization following separation or divorce. I agree to participate and give my consent for my child(ren) to participate in the six week Kids' Turn group. I understand that, within the bounds set by law, all information, communications, observations and opinions derived from this program shall be considered private and confidential between myself and the Kids' Turn group. I understand, too, that the program may be described in written publications but that no information will be provided that could identify any individual participants in the program. I agree that neither myself nor anyone representing me shall call on any staff persons involved in this program during this program or at any other time to provide either written or oral testimony at a deposition or in court on any issue related to my family nor shall I subpoena any records from Kids' Turn for such purposes. I waive any right that I may have to call such person or subpoena such record in this or any action which is or may be filed. Further, all documents produced in the workshop becomes property of Kids’ Turn. I give my consent for Kids’ Turn to use artwork, images or quotations made by my child in Kids’ Turn’s brochures, literature or other public relations activities. My child will not be identified by full name. I understand further that the facility used for the workshop is in no way responsible or liable for any action associated with the Kids' Turn program.
